Valincare is a direct-pay practice. We do not bill insurance for membership services, and our prices are published. When a covered screening is performed by an outside facility — a screening mammogram or colonoscopy, for example — that facility bills your insurance as it normally would. This structure is deliberate: it removes the billing incentives that shape care elsewhere.
No — and we don't want to. Valincare is preventive and longevity medicine: deep assessment, risk management, and longitudinal strategy. Your primary care physician remains essential for day-to-day care, and with your permission we share findings and coordinate directly. Many of our members are referred by their PCPs.
A Cochrane review of over 250,000 participants found that conventional annual physicals do not reduce mortality. The problem isn't the visit — it's what gets measured. We assess the markers that actually predict outcomes: ApoB and Lp(a), coronary calcium, VO₂ max, DEXA body composition, and a neurocognitive baseline — interpreted by your physician, with a plan built from the findings.
No. Valincare is a physician-led medical practice. We sell supplements at wholesale cost with no markup, we don't offer treatments the evidence can't support, and nothing here is sold by the drip or the syringe. If you're looking for aesthetics-first services, we're happy to point you elsewhere — and if you're looking for medicine, you're in the right place.
One focused morning. You arrive at 8:30 a.m., fasting and caffeine-free. The morning moves through vital signs and intake, a blood draw, a physical exam with your physician, resting energy expenditure, DEXA bone density and body composition, EKG and spirometry, and cardiopulmonary exercise testing (VO₂ max) — with a neurocognitive assessment added for Journey members. Lunch is served, followed by a strength and mobility assessment, and you're done by about 1:00 p.m. Prefer a single visit? For members in the San Antonio area, we can draw your labs at your home or office two weeks in advance — your results are ready on testing day, your physician debrief happens the same morning, and you won't need to return until your next assessment in six to twelve months. Otherwise, your debrief follows once every result is in — in person or by video, as you prefer. Coronary calcium scoring is scheduled the same day when indicated.
One number built from four measured axes: cardiorespiratory fitness, grip strength, metabolic age derived from nine blood biomarkers, and vascular age — each computed with a published, mortality-validated instrument. Every axis is modifiable, so the number moves when you do the work. The composite is a communication tool, not a validated clock; the validated science lives in the axes beneath it.
When clinically indicated, yes — with individualized dosing and structured follow-up testing to evaluate response, safety, and tolerability. Treatment is never assumed, and never withheld reflexively. Prescriptions follow your biology, not our revenue.
Because we sort every intervention into proven, promising, or unknown — and we tell you which category it falls into. Where the evidence doesn't justify an offering, we don't sell it, however popular it may be. We'd rather be right than fashionable. You can read our full reasoning on these topics in Perspectives.
The full assessment is deliberately compressed into a single morning so that one trip covers it. San Antonio is roughly three hours from Monterrey and three and a half from McAllen. Your physician debrief can be held in person or by video — your choice — and care is available in Spanish.
Pricing is published and transparent: Vector at $2,100, Foundation at $3,800, Journey at $7,600, and Continuum from $24,000, by recommendation only. Membership runs for one year — there are no long-term contracts and no automatic renewal. You continue because the work is worth continuing.
Yes — at wholesale cost, with zero markup. When your physician recommends something, there is no financial motive behind the recommendation. That is the point.
Typically within about a week of your inquiry.
